Viola Angelucci, 99, of Franklin (formerly of Ellwood City) passed away Monday, July 17, 2023 at The Caring Place in Franklin after a brief illness. Born March 17, 1924 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Anna Joseph Salvati. She was married to Anthony C. Angelucci when he passed away on April 5, 2005. For over 20 years, Viola was the manager at the Women’s Specialty Clothing in Levittown. She also worked in quality control for American Can. John August Bennett, 95, of Wayne Township passed peacefully on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at UPMC McCandless surrounded by his family. John was born in Darlington on January 1, 1928. He was the son of the late Elizabeth Binder and William J. Bennett. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Dora (Duff) Bennett who passed away June 8, 2023. John proudly served in the US Army. He worked at Babcock and Wilcox in Fittings and Forging until his retirement. JoAnn M. Knight, 84, of Ellwood City passed away on July 15, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Beaver, following a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Helen Knight and was born March 24, 1939 in Ellwood City. She is survived by her brother; James Knight and his wife Debra, nephew; Matt Knight and his wife Lisa both of North Sewickley Twp. JoAnn attended Business College and she worked for W.R. Weston L. “Buck” Altman, 91, of North Beaver Township passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at the Avalon Place. Born June 30, 1932 in Cabot, he was the son of the late Mont and Alice Rath Altman. He was married to Marlene Joyce Doutt Altman for 62 years when she passed away on September 3, 2017. Buck enlisted in the Army in 1953 serving in the Korean Conflict as a Sgt. Joseph Carmen Mangelli Jr., 41, of Koppel passed away on Wednesday, July 5th, 2023 at the Heritage Valley Medical Center following an extended illness. Joseph was born at the Beaver Valley Medical Center on January 3rd, 1982 to the late Joseph Carmen Mangelli, Sr. and Jamie (Hamilton) Brightwell of Koppel.
