Dennis J. “Denny” Tritt, 68

Mr. Dennis J. “Denny” Tritt, 68, of Butler passed away on Friday, July 7th, 2023 at the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Denny was born the son of the late Floyd “Bud”  and Margaret “Peg” (Gardner) Tritt on August 3rd, 1954 in Ellwood City. He had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1972 and from Geneva College in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. He was the third person to be hired by Inmetco when they first opened in Ellwood City and worked as a Team Supervisor and later as Project Manager. An outdoorsman he enjoyed hunting, fishing, water skiing, and training Labrador Retriever’s. He also enjoyed traveling especially to hunt Elk in Utah and spending the winter months at Mustang Island in Texas. Denny is a member of the Rough Grouse Society, Pheasants Forever, and Castlewood Rod & Gun Club.

He is survived by his wife Joyce (Twenty) Tritt whom he married in 1980, sons Michael (Suzanna) Tritt of Denver, CO and Matthew Tritt of Baltimore, MD, granddaughter Tomi Autumn Tritt, sister Carolyn (Thomas) Shaw of Wisconsin, and brother David (Patti) Tritt of Ellwood City.

Family and Friends will be received on Tuesday, July 11th, 2023 from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at 4:00 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. with Rev. Bruce Gardner officiating.
