Riverside Boys Track Collects Four WPIAL Individual Championships

The Riverside boys track team collected a total of four championships at the WPIAL Individual Championship meet at Slippery Rock University on Wednesday. Colby Belczyk put on a show. Belczyk won the 800m in 1:54.41 setting a new school record, breaking his own record of 1:54.99 and then teamed up with Alden Wetzel, Brody Barton, and Ty Fluharty, to win the 4×400 relay team with a personal best time of 3:27.65. The Panthers set WPIAL history Wednesday becoming the first Class 2A track team to win four consecutive titles. The championship also makes Riverside the only Class 2A track team to win 7 WPIAL Championships. Two Lincoln High School Students Sign Letters of Intent

In the past week, two Lincoln High School seniors have signed their letters of intent to continue their athletic careers in college. Ryan Gibbons signed his letter on April 29th. He will be attending Westminster University where he will major in Engineering and will continue his baseball career. He was joined by his parents Bob and Kim Gibbons.
