The Riverside boys track team collected a total of four championships at the WPIAL Individual Championship meet at Slippery Rock University on Wednesday. Colby Belczyk put on a show. Belczyk won the 800m in 1:54.41 setting a new school record, breaking his own record of 1:54.99 and then teamed up with Alden Wetzel, Brody Barton, and Ty Fluharty, to win the 4×400 relay team with a personal best time of 3:27.65. The Panthers set WPIAL history Wednesday becoming the first Class 2A track team to win four consecutive titles. The championship also makes Riverside the only Class 2A track team to win 7 WPIAL Championships. Riverside defeated Greensburg Central Catholic (84-64), South Park (95-55) and Shenango (77-73) to capture its 2021 championship. The Riverside boys track & field team have chance to win a fourth straight team track championship on Wednesday at the WPIAL Track Championships at Peters Township.
