PHOTOS: Harper Tosses 3-Hitter, Panthers Shutout Wolverines

Panthers starter Ronnie Harper pitched a gem Thursday, twirling five shutout innings as Riverside easily blanked the visiting Wolverines 10-0.

Harper allowed just three hits. He struck out six batters and did not issue a walk.

The Panthers, now 7-1 overall, secured the victory thanks to seven runs in the second inning. Hunter Garvin, Drake Fox, Madden Boehm, and Bo Fornataro, who all drove in runs in the second frame. Boehm slugged a second inning homerun en route to his four-RBI performance.

Riverside racked up 11 hits on the afternoon with Darren McDade, Evan Burry, and Boehm collecting multiple hits. McDade led the surge with three hits in three at bats.

Ashton Wilson, Nick Magnifico, and Alexander Roth each collected one hit for Ellwood City (3-4 Overall). Nardone took the loss for Lincoln. The hurler allowed three hits and four runs over one inning, walking one.
