POLICE: Weekly Police Blotter

FALSE IDENTIFICATION: Dakota Hincherberg, 29, Ellwood City, is charged with False Identification To Law Enforcement after an incident on March 24th. According to a criminal complaint, at approximately 8:45 p.m. an anonymous caller reported a suspicious male in the area of Sixth Street and Bell Avenue in Ellwood City, walking over the roadway while screaming. Police investigated the area with negative results. Later, at approximately 9:13 p.m., the same caller reported the same male in the area of Seventh Street. Mayor Court Presents Proclamations To Eagle Scouts

Mayor Anthony J. Court had the honor of presenting proclamations to two (2) Eagle Scouts on Monday, March 28, at their meeting held at The First Methodist Church. The Eagle Scouts were Hayden Slade and Grady Smith. Hayden is an 11th grader at Lincoln High School and a member of the Lincoln High School Blue Band Marching Band, LHS Choir, and LHS musical. As of 2021, he was a 6-year Carson Scholar. His Eagle Project was the “Moraine State Park Bicycle Maintenance Station”. Jehovah’s Witnesses Area Congregations Returning to In-Person Meetings

All congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses, including those in nearby Beaver Falls, Zelienople, and Butler, are being encouraged to begin holding in-person meetings during the week of April 1. For most of the last two years, buildings for worship have remained closed globally due to the risks associated with meeting in person. Jehovah’s Witnesses in the U.S. also suspended their public ministry on March 20, 2020. Since that time, they have carried on their ministry through letters and phone calls while holding twice-weekly meetings in a virtual format. BURGLARY: William Balin, Jr., 32, of Ellwood City, is charged with Burglary, Criminal Mischief and Criminal Trespassing after an incident on March 21st. According to the criminal complaint, at appropriately 11:00 a.m. police were advised the Ellwood City Sewer department was broke into over the weekend. Upon investigation, there were two signs of forced entry into the building on Wampum Avenue and a gas powered generator and power washer were missing. Ellwood City Borough is hiring. Jobs available include summer employment for park manager; parks, playground and concession stand coordinator; playground instructors; and concession stand employees.
