Ellwood City Library Activities for Week of August 6

The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities.  Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458. Activities taking place this week include:   TUESDAY, AUGUST 7 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. -“Teen Film Making Workshop,” an opportunity for students to try their hand at filmmaking.  A college student majoring in film production will be available to assist teens in using the green screen and video equipment.   WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 8 10:00 a.m. – “Coloring for Adults,” a weekly program that is free and open to the public.  It is…

Holy Redeemer Parish’s 52nd Bazaar Festivities Continue: A great opportunity is still available to win large cash awards, by participating in the ‘Summer Cash Give-away’ with a $25,000.00 grand cash prize awarded on Saturday night, August 4 along with the 50/50 raffle with a cash award now well over $3,000.00, also awarded on Saturday night. H.O.P.E. Festival Coming to Lawrence Avenue

The Ellwood City area is filled with those who need help, support, assistance, guidance and above all encouragement. Weather it’s from a lost job, health problems,drug or alcohol, pregnancy, divorce or a host of other issues, people need “love and hope.” A one-day H.O.P.E. festival is coming to Ellwood City on Saturday August 25 from 10 am to 5 pm on Lawrence Ave between 4th street and 6th street. The festival will bring together agencies, both christian and secular who can provide that encouragement and help. 2018 Holy Redeemer Bazaar

The Holy Redeemer Bazaar is returning for its 52nd annual event starting tomorrow Aug. 1 and concluding on Aug. 4 at the corner of Lawrence Avenue and Third Street. Townspeople can’t wait for this annual event. The food, the fun and the fireworks make the Bazaar a favorite. The weekend-long Bazaar is hosted on the grounds of The Holy Redeemer Parish every summer. Featuring more than 50 vendor booths, carnival rides, entertainment and drawings for prizes. Fine Wines & Delectable Foods The Ellwood City Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 13th Annual Chef, Wine & Ale event at Shakespeare’s Restaurant in Ellwood City on Monday, September 10, 2018 from 6 pm to 9 pm. The Penn State Master Gardeners of Lawrence County will be hosting a Basic Training Class beginning Fall 2018.
