Dining with Diabetes is a program for adults with diabetes and pre-diabetes and their families that will increase knowledge of healthy food choices for people with diabetes and present healthy versions of familiar foods. A culinary instructor will conduct food demonstrations at each class of proper cooking techniques for such products as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meats, artificial sweeteners, reduced-fat products, and herbs and spices. The series consists of four weekly classes taught by a registered dietitian and a culinary instructor. The classes consist of food demonstrations and tasting and vital information to help manage diabetes. The entire program series is only $5.00.
