2018 Holy Redeemer Bazaar

The Holy Redeemer Bazaar is returning for its 52nd annual event starting tomorrow Aug. 1 and concluding on Aug. 4 at the corner of Lawrence Avenue and Third Street.

Townspeople can’t wait for this annual event. The food, the fun and the fireworks make the Bazaar a favorite. The weekend-long Bazaar is hosted on the grounds of The Holy Redeemer Parish every summer. Featuring more than 50 vendor booths, carnival rides, entertainment and drawings for prizes.

People can expect bazaar staples like pepperoni puffs, entertainment and the $100 raffle.

It’s the second year for the $100 raffle, and tickets are $100 each. Winners can receive $6,000 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Ticket holders with only one number off will receive $1,000. The Saturday $100 raffle winner will win $25,000.

This year there is a special area for kids ages two to seven called “You’re Incredible Zone,” inspired by Disney’s Pixar movie “The Incredibles.” The area will be located inside the Holy Redeemer Catholic School. Children can access the area through the school’s door on Third Street.

For $5 children will receive a wristband which allows them to play in the “You’re Incredible Zone” all evening, the wrist bands will also entitle children to one prize each from the game booths. The wristband is only good for one night.

The bazaar plans to use a ticket system for food booths this year, each ticket is a dollar. Activities on the grounds begin at 6 p.m. and run until 10 p.m. The food booths and a bake sale begin at 4 p.m. Friday is a rib dinner, and Saturday is lamb, dinner’s start at 5:30 p.m. and are $12.
