Jane Crowley, 93, of Ellwood City, passed away peacefully in her residence on Sunday, October 1, 2023. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on September 17, 1930, Jane was the daughter of the late Henry and Florence Gleason Robb.  Jane graduated from Carnegie Tech and then married Gerald Crowley on August 22, 1953.  She and Gerald spent sixty-six years together, including managing the day-to-day affairs of Gerald’s law practice.  Gerald preceded her in death in April of 2020.  Jane was an active member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church.  She and Gerald were members of the Connoquenessing Country Club, where they…

James T Oliver, 86, passed away on September 29, 2023 at his daughter’s home in North Sewickley Twp.  Jim was the son of Edna M. (Miller) Oliver, and James S. Oliver, both deceased. He was born, raised and lived most of his life in North Sewickley Township. He was also predeceased by his wife of nearly 68 years, Cecelia A. Delpha M. Cearfoss, 88, formerly of Ellwood City, passed away at Passavant Health Center on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 after suffering from dementia for many years. Born in Ellwood City on November 13, 1934, Delpha was the daughter of the late William and Blanche Edna Powell Scheidemantle, Sr. She was a 1953 graduate of Lincoln High School and a member of the former Knox Presbyterian Church. Delpha had worked in the lab at the old Ellwood City Hospital on Border Avenue and later worked in the office for the library and cafeteria in the Riverside Middle School. She had also…

Sorensen, of Ellwood City, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at the home of his daughter and son-in law where he has resided for the last 4 years.  Curtis was born on September 18, 1929, in Warren, PA, the son of the late Henry and Rosella (Anderson) Sorensen. Born in Elwood City on February 13, 1956, Angelo was the son of the late William and Rose Zaffino Pisano.  He retired from MedArt in November of 2021 where he worked as the head of maintenance.  He was Catholic by Faith and enjoyed spending time at his camp, cooking and especially spending time with his son, grandsons and friends making Italian meats. Anna Marie Krol, 60, of New Castle passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver. Born in Ellwood City on April 8, 1963, Anna Marie was the daughter of the late Fred and Alberta Williams Faraoni.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph S. Krol, Jr. on April 26, 2011.  Anna Marie worked as a long distance truck driver with her husband.  She later worked as a DJ and had a love for music and her cats. Raymond A. Christy, Jr., 75, of Beaver Falls, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at St. John’s Specialty Care Center in Mars. Born in Butler on February 3, 1948, Raymond was the son of the late, Raymond A. and Grace Helen Thompson Christy.  Raymond was a contractor and later worked as a truck driver.  He was a veteran of the Army and served in Vietnam.  Raymond was a member of the Order of the Owls in Beaver Falls. Joylee MacDonald McCaughtry, 81, of Ellport passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023, in the emergency room at UPMC Jameson. Born in Ellwood City on November 25, 1941, Joylee was a daughter of the late Eugene and Isabell Means MacDonald.  She married Jerry McCaughtry Sr. in 1987.  Joylee was a 1959 graduate of Lincoln High School.  She worked at Flowline in New Castle and later retired from Home Instead after twenty years of being a caregiver.  Joylee was Presbyterian by faith and she lived her faith by volunteering.  She was the “lunch lady” for many summers during the Carpenter’s Project, she…

Kathleen “Kathy” Russo, 75, of Ellwood City, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Trumbull Regional Medical Center in Warren, Ohio.
