Monthly Mayor’s Advisory Meeting Recap

Mayor Court held his monthly Mayor’s Advisory Meeting recently discussing that dispite the 419 drug arrests since he has taken office, the fight against drugs in the area is gaining strength.  Mayor Court is working hard hand in hand with the Lawrence County DA to institute new strategies in this fight. Promoting Agriculture and Local Food in Beaver County

Penn State Extension, Beaver County Tourism and Agricultural Preservation are hosting free informational sessions to hear from farmers and local food businesses about promoting Ag in Beaver County. Details & Strategy For New Downtown Development To Be Discussed

The local contractor and engineering firm, Lutz & Myers, will be holding an open forum and presentation Tuesday evening at 5:00pm regarding the new downtown development property located in the 500 block of Lawrence Avenue. The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Ellwood City will hold their Leadership Meeting on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 6:00pm. Report: BC3 ranks No. 1 in salary-to-cost ratio among 42 area institutions

Butler County Community College has the highest ratio of graduates’ salaries 10 years after commencement for every dollar a student pays to attend BC3, besting ratios at 41 other Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio colleges and universities whose U.S. Department of Education information was analyzed by the Pittsburgh Business Times. BC3’s salary-to-cost ratio of 7.6 was the highest among 42 institutions surveyed in a Jan. 9 report in the Pittsburgh Business Times headlined “College Scorecard: These regional colleges produce the highest earners.” The average salary of a BC3 graduate 10 years after graduation is $33,700, according to the College Scorecard,…

Portersville Christian School Information Night/Open House

Portersville Christian School will hold an Information Night/Open House at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, February 27, for families interested in enrolling students for the 2018-2019 school year.
