United Fund Approves And Updates Statement of Services

The United Fund board met recently on March 27th to review and update the statement of services and the bylaws.

“We feel with this statement that the community of Ellwood City will have an understanding of the United Funds commitment to work for the community,” said Andy Kindle in email.

The Ellwood City Untied Fund Statement of Services now reads as follows:

LIVE UNITED – HELP KEEP US COVERED

The United Fund: A Community Chest organization in partnership with United Way of Pennsylvania.

Served: The community of Ellwood City, Koppel, Wampum, Fombell, Chewton, Ellport, Wayne Township, Franklin Township, Perry Township North Swickley Township.

Vision: Through the generosity of our loyal contributors we are able to fund programs for the Ellwood City area that focus on service, education, and health.

Mission: Advancing the common good, to improve lives and transform our community.

Key Focuses: Income, education, health, service, community, better quality of life.

Community Partners: City Rescue Mission, People-in-Need, Ellwood City Library, Ellwood Family Center, Human Health Services, LARK Enterprises, Rita Hazen Education Foundation, Boy Scouts, & Girl Scouts

Our Work: Guide to Human Services(community action), Agency get acquainted mixer, Ninety day general fundraising appeal, Elementary school teachers fundraising.
Programs we support: The work of all the supported agencies of the Ellwood City United Fund.
