Ellwood City United Fund – Annual Fund Drive Update

The Ellwood City United Fund c1mp1ign started October 1, 2018, and will continue until December 31, 2018.

The campaign committee met on this week, Monday, November 26, to review the number of contributions up to this day. The committee had set one goal of $50,000.00 to provide funding for the eight agencies they support (Ellwood Family Center, People in Need, Ellwood City Public Library, LARK Enterprises, Boy & Girl Scouts, Human Services, and Ellwood Education Foundation).

Connie MacDon1ld, president of the United Fund states “donations have been coming in daily but we are right now about $2000.00 behind last year figures. I believe it is because we did not have our annual kick off – Get Acquainted Mixer. We still have the month of December and may have to extend the campaign through January 2019.”

Doc Barsotti campaign member offered, “we usually have over 300 patrons that have to donate each year, today we have received a little over 1,100 contributions. I am sure the Ellwood City community will help us meet our goal. They realize that it takes very little effort to make a big difference.”

The treasurer, Andrew Kindle provide the total number of contributions received was $23,240.00. To reach the goal set by the campaign committee the United Fund needs to raise $27,760 by the end of the year.

The committee is confident that the Ellwood City community will come forth with enough donations to meet the goal. The United Fund board wants to thank you for caring for the work our service agencies do for the community. You can be assured that your donation stays here in Ellwood City.
