Ellwood City Public Library Activities For Week of August 31st

The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.

HOURS

Hours are Monday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Please remember no one is available to take your calls unless it is in the hours listed above.

BOOK SALE COLLECTION:

We are now taking donations for the book sale in October. We do not take text books, readers digest condensed books, magazines, encyclopedias or VHS tapes.

Activities taking place this week include.

MONDAY, AUGUST 31

  • 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1

  • 10:30 a.m. –“Music, Movement and More,” a program for children to dance, sing and play instruments.
  • 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2

  • 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – “Adult Special Needs Hangout,” come as an individual or with a group.
  • 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
  • 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. – “Tween and Teen After School Club,” come and hang out, do crafts, play games and have a snack.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 3

  • 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 4

  • 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – “Coloring for Adults,” bring your own supplies or use ours.
  • 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. – “Adult Knitting Group,” work on your own individual projects while socializing with other knitters.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5

  • 9:00 a.m. – “Reading Buddies,” come and read to the dogs
  • 9:30 a.m. – “Lego Club,” come and build Legos with others.
  • 10:45 a.m. – “Pokemon Club,” come and learn from and socialize with other Pokemon Card collectors.
  • Noon – “Choose Your Own Book Club,” for grades 3rd – 5th. Do a craft while having a snack.
  • 1:45 p.m. – “Teen Cooking Club,” for grades 6th-12th. Come and learn how to make easy snacks.
  • 2:30 p.m. – “Books, Thoughts & Snacks,’ a program for grades 6th – 12th. Do book journaling while eating a snack.

SAVE THE DATE:

September 26th the library will be closed. We will have a “Magical Library” from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
