Corona D’Italia Lodge #807 Monthly Meeting Recap

Corona D’Italia Lodge #801 held their monthly meeting on Wednesday, March 14, at 5:00pm at Pizza Joe’s.

Honoring St. Patrick’s Day, the session began with an Irish Stew dinner prepared by the staff and served by lodge officers, Purdue LaCava, Mary Jane Folino, Patty Regna and members, Margaret Cancelli, and Anita Chaffin. Regna offered the invocation honoring St. Patrick and prayers for all the living and deceased lodge members and all military personnel. President, Clemmy Sirimarco, distributed Irish theme bracelets to all in attendance, provided by Orator, Valerie Valentino, who was absent due to illness.

Sirimarco conducted the business session that followed. Treasurer, Louise Vitullo, presented the financial reports and noted that dues are due by March 31, payable to Corona D’Italia Lodge #807 and may be sent to Vitullo, Sirimarco or Secretary, Jackie Perno. The secretarial reports were voiced by Perno. She is updating all the member’s information and requests that changes in address, phone numbers and beneficiary information be advised to her.

Scholarship information was presented with applications due by April 1st. Eligible students must be a member or child or grandchild of a member of the Corona D’Italia Lodge #807 or Sons of Italy Lodge #608. Plans for the annual Mother-Daughter Scholarship Dinner will be finalized at the April meeting.

The session concluded with a social and picture taking by the Emmce, Mary Quintanilla, and aided by Regna.

The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 11, at 5:00pm at Pizza Joe’s in Ellwood City.
