PennDot Engineering District 11-0 will be replacing the bridge over the Connoquenessing Creek on S.R. 0065 (Mercer Road) in a project set to commence in the summer of 2025.
The project is currently in the preliminary engineering phase with the expectation of starting the final design phase in early 2023.
The project is anticipated to let (i.e. bids for construction to be opened) during the first half of 2024 with the traffic detour implemented in the summer of 2025. The project is tentatively slated to be constructed under a 4-week roadway closure with a full detour during the 2025 Construction Season.
The Country Club Bridge Replacement Project is located in North Sewickley and Franklin Townships, Beaver County. The project consists of a full replacement of the existing 3-Span steel multi-girder structure with a 2-Span steel plate girder structure using Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC) Techniques. In addition to replacing the existing structure, the project will include roadway reconstruction at the intersection of Route 65 Mercer Road with SR 1006 Mercer Road and the intersection of SR 65 Mercer Road with T-639 Country Club Drive.
The scope of work includes other miscellaneous activities such as new pavement markings, guide rail updates, and drainage improvements.
