Edward Herman Berendt, 78, of Ellwood City, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at home peacefully surrounded by his wife and children. Ed was born in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania on May 6,1945 to the late Margaret Miller Berendt and William M. Berendt, Sr.  He worked at multiple steel mills in the area and finished his career at the Ellwood City Forge. Thomas R. Dwyer, 77, of Ellwood City, PA passed away peacefully on Friday, April 19, 2024 from ongoing health issues. He was born in Ellwood City on May 26, 1946 to the late George and Alberta Geary Dwyer.  Thomas was a talented gymnast at Riverside High School where he graduated from.  He loved racing dirt bikes and helping his late uncle Harold Geary at Geary’s Cycle Center. John M. Hribar III, 67, of Aliquippa, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Beaver Valley Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Aliquippa on July 9, 1956, John was the son of the late John and Diane Radovich Hribar II. He retired as a bricklayer and was a member of Local 833 in New Brighton. John graduated from Aliquippa High School. Always up for an adventure from a young age, John decided to hitchhike all the way across the United States. Phyllis J. Bubb, 88, of Ellwood City, passed away in her residence on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Born in Ellwood City on August 18, 1935, Phyllis was the daughter of the late Ralph and Florence Foringer Richt. She married William A. Bubb, Jr. on December 31, 1955 and he preceded her in death on August 2, 2022. Phyllis retired from the Ellwood City Hospital in 1996 where she worked as a respiratory therapist. Born in Ellwood City on April 18, 1941, Nancy was the daughter of the late Michael and Julia Beller Lample.  Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Diane Tedrow, 75, of Chewton, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Butler Health System. Born in Homewood on May 27, 1948, Diane was the daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy Keppan Shoaff.  She married Rodnie Tedrow on January 13, 1969 and he preceded her in death on May 19, 2023.  Diane retired as a Certified Nursing Assistant from Providence Care Center where she worked for many years.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She also loved her two black labs. Joann VanGorder, 81, of Boyers, formerly of Ellwood City, passed away peacefully at Allegheny General Hospital on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.
