Phyllis J. Bubb, 88, of Ellwood City, passed away in her residence on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.
Born in Ellwood City on August 18, 1935, Phyllis was the daughter of the late Ralph and Florence Foringer Richt. She married William A. Bubb, Jr. on December 31, 1955 and he preceded her in death on August 2, 2022. Phyllis retired from the Ellwood City Hospital in 1996 where she worked as a respiratory therapist. She attended Victory Family Church and she enjoyed baking, gardening and watching baseball. Phyllis also enjoyed watching her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William and Nikkie Bubb, III of New Castle, her daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Donald Smith of Ellwood City, her son-in-law, J.D. Fountain of Ellwood City, her sister, Lois St. Clair of Ellwood City, eight grandchildren; William “Bubbs” (Echo) Bubb IV, Joshua (Misty) Fountain, Robert Fountain, Sara (Jon) Bubb, Donald (Stephanie) Smith, Elizabeth (Brandon) Scobie, Jolene Smith and Angel Bennett and nine great-grandchildren; Riley Festog, Savannah Fountain, Xadrian Fountain, Cameron Smith, Lucas Smith, Lily Smith, Carson Scobie, Kayden Scobie and Blake Scobie.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Phyllis was preceded in death by her daughter, Kandy Fountain, her son, Ron “Ralph” Bubb, her granddaughter, Stephanie Bubb, two brothers, Ralph “Bill” Richt and Robert Richt and a sister, Doris Boots.
There were no services, per Phyllis’ wishes. Arrangements were entrusted to the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport.
