John Nicholas Perry, Sr., of Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, affably known as “Pappy,” passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025-the day of his 64th wedding anniversary-at home in the presence of his loving family. He was 86. John was born in Ellwood City on March 2, 1939. He was the descendent of Italian immigrants and the son of Nicholas Nazarene Perry, a steel worker, and Josephine Perry (nee Beatrice), a nurse. Born in Ellwood City on December 7, 1954, Ray was the son of the late Russell and Ruth Linzey Young. He married the former Amy Lose in 1985. Dr. Lawrence W. Costa, Jr., 75, of Ellwood City passed away at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Butler on Monday, August 18, 2025. Vincent E. Krupa, 36, of Koppel, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at his residence. Born on July 28, 1989 in Beaver, Vince was the son of Edward D. Krupa, Jr. of Koppel and Lori Italeso Krupa of Greenville, PA. He formerly worked at Fresenius Kabi in Cranberry Township as a technician. Vincent was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, he loved the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins. He was also a Notre Dame fan. Charles H. Denniston, 77, of Prospect, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025 at AHN West Penn Hospital. Born in Portersville on April 8, 1948, Charles was the son of the late Howard and Mary Johnson Denniston. He attended the Laurel School District and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Charles retired from the Ellwood City Forge after more than twenty-five years of dedicated service to the company. He enjoyed both fishing and hunting. Karl E. Meeker, age 82, of Ellwood City, PA went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 13th. Karl was born March 26, 1943 in Greeley, CO to the late Andrew Franklin and Blanche (Bailey) Meeker. He loved and missed the Rocky Mountains and time spent with family there. She was born August 10, 1932, to the late Norman Harold and Nellie L. (Newton) Boots. She married Gene L. MacDonald on July 14, 1951. They were married 65 years until his death in 2017.
