Edward E. Locke, 82 of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at his residence. Born in Ellwood City on October 4, 1943, Edward was the son of the late Arthur and Melissa Gould Locke. He is survived by his wife, the former Patsey Stiles, whom he married on March 6, 1962. Edward was a member of Word Alive Church. He was a veteran of the US Army. Edward enjoyed woodworking, playing golf, fishing and spending time on his motorcycle. Carol M. Steilner, 85, of Ellwood City, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her family. Born in Ellwood City on May 22, 1940, Carol was the daughter of the late Leroy and Mary Houk Pifer.  She married John Steilner on June 27, 1957, and they enjoyed sixty-eight years together.  Carol retired from the Ellwood City Hospital where she worked as an operating room technician.  A member of the Berean Presbyterian Church in Ellwood City, Carol enjoyed card club and bowling.  Carol and John kept themselves busy attending all their grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s sporting events. …

James Klingensmith, 82, of Shenango Township, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford surrounded by his family. Born on November 10, 1943 in Ellwood City, James was the son of the late Cyrus and Doris Klingensmith and the late Elizabeth Sheals Worth. He married the former Carolyn S. Moore on June 25, 1964 and they enjoyed nearly sixty years together before her passing in February of 2024. James was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving on the USS Bache. Born in New Galilee on November 1, 1953, Harry was the son of the late Wilfred and Lillian Moore Cunning.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Magnifico Cunning in 2012. Elvie “Jeannette” Witherow, 98, formerly of Ellport, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Wexford. Born in Ellwood City on October 15, 1927, Jeannette was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elvie Richardson Garmon. She married Raymond C.
