Eileen M. Hazen, 91, of North Sewickley Township passed away at Providence Health and Rehab Center in Beaver Falls on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.
Born on December 23, 1934 in Ellwood City, Eileen was the daughter of the late Walter C. and Margaret G. Lessic Feerst. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dale Hazen on July 13, 2004. They were married on August 23, 1958. Eileen had worked a as private secretary/clerk at the Ellwood Works of U.S. Steel from 1953 until 1959. From 1966 and for over 50 years she worked as secretary at Holy Redeemer “St. Agatha” Church, School and Cemetery. She was a member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church and the Christian Mothers of the church. Eileen graduated from Lincoln High School in 1952. She was an active member of the Red Barn Players for over 60 years serving as treasurer, financial secretary, box office manager, librarian, wardrobe supervisor and membership chairperson. Eileen enjoyed reading (avid fan of Agatha Christie & Johnny Mathis), playing cards, knitting and needlepoint.
Eileen is survived by her 3 children, Robert S. Hazen of New Castle, Susan L. Baker of Ellwood City and Stacy and Bob Goodman of Hershey, PA, 3 grandsons, Jeremy Baker, Cole Goodman and Carson Goodman and 2 sisters, Renee and Richard Orrico of New Castle and Kathy and Harry D’Biagio of Ellwood City.
Besides her parents and husband, Eileen was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Walt and Christine Feerst, a brother-in-law, Keith Hazen and 2 sisters-in-law, Virginia LaCava and Helen Henderson.
Friends may call at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Ave., Ellport of Friday, July 10, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Holy Redeemer Church on Saturday at 11:00 AM with Fr. Joseph M. Freedy.
Burial will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
Christian Mothers are ask to meet at the Church on Saturday at 10:45 AM to form the Honor Guard.
