Wayne Township Offices Close To Follow County State of Emergency

According to information made available by the township this morning, Wayne Township offices will not be open to the public until further notice as part of the Lawrence County state of emergency declaration due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Route 288 Bridge Replacement Project Progress

With many focused on the pending status and re-opening of the Koppel Bridge, another local bridge replacement is taking place in Wayne Township and will have forthcoming lane restrictions and brief detour later this month. According to PennDOT Press Officer Steve Cowan, the ongoing replacement project will tentatively have single-lane alternating traffic controlled by a temporary signal that will occur from October 14 through October 25.  Full closure for paving work will result in a detour that will occur from Friday, October 25 through Monday morning, October 28. “Once the weekend closure is over, eastbound traffic from Wampum to Ellwood…

Wayne Township Fall Cleanup Scheduled For October 12

Wayne Township will be conducting an annual fall clean up Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 8:00am until noon. A proof of residency will be required to participate.  There is a $10.00 charge per pickup truckload. The drop off location is the Wayne Township Building, located at 1418 Wampum Road, Ellwood City, PA 16117 Information for new residents or new participants to this service for taxpayers: A resident may fill a pickup truck with unwanted items (see exceptions below) and drive to the township building and follow instructions. Wayne Township Consolidated School Reunion Planned

A Wayne Township Consolidated School Reunion has been planned and is set to take place on Saturday, September 21, 2019. The reunion event will be held at the Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church, located at 258 Slippery Rock Drive, Ellwood City, PA 16117 and is scheduled to take place from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Those interested in attending are asked to come with pictures and memories to help join everyone for fellowship and fun. All former students, staff, and families are invited. Wayne Township is conducting its annual fall clean up Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 8:00am until noon. A proof of residency will be required to participate.  There is a $10.00 charge per p/u truckload (no limit). Information for new residents or new participants to this service for taxpayers: A resident may fill a pickup truck with unwanted items (see exceptions below) and drive to the township building at 1418 Ellwood Road and follow the arrows.
