FALSE IDENTIFICATION: Dakota Hincherberg, 29, Ellwood City, is charged with False Identification To Law Enforcement after an incident on March 24th. According to a criminal complaint, at approximately 8:45 p.m. an anonymous caller reported a suspicious male in the area of Sixth Street and Bell Avenue in Ellwood City, walking over the roadway while screaming. Police investigated the area with negative results. Later, at approximately 9:13 p.m., the same caller reported the same male in the area of Seventh Street. BURGLARY: William Balin, Jr., 32, of Ellwood City, is charged with Burglary, Criminal Mischief and Criminal Trespassing after an incident on March 21st. According to the criminal complaint, at appropriately 11:00 a.m. police were advised the Ellwood City Sewer department was broke into over the weekend. Upon investigation, there were two signs of forced entry into the building on Wampum Avenue and a gas powered generator and power washer were missing. FORMER ELLWOOD CITY MAN CHARGED WITH WITNESS RETALIATION: A former Ellwood City man who is serving a federal prison sentence has been indicted by a federal grand jury for witness retaliation, United States Attorney Cindy K. Chung announced Friday. The one-count Indictment, which was returned on October 26, 2021, and unsealed today, named Derick Davare, age 35, as the sole defendant. TERRORISTIC THREATS: On February 12 at approximately 11:35 a.m. PSP New Castle was dispatched to a domestic in progress on State Line Road, Enon Valley, Lawrence County. According to the report, it was found that a Kenneth Borer, 33, of Enon Valley, had threatened a 32-year-old female victim with a gun and also punched her in the face multiple times. SIMPLE ASSAULT: Nicholas Kinnear, 35, of Ellwood City, is charged with Simple Assault and Harassment after an incident on January 31. According to a criminal complaint, and at approximately 2:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence on Spring Avenue for a domestic. Police were met outside by a female victim who related that Kinnear had became angry and accosted the victim resulting in marks and bruising. THEFT: Michael Henry, 40, of Ellwood City is charged with Theft and Receiving Stolen Property after an incident on January 13th. According to a criminal complaint, and at approximately 7:43 a.m., officers were contacted by the manager at Seven-Eleven who stated a male walked into the convenience store and stole a donation jar from the front counter and exited the store. A 2019 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling too fast downhill and swerved to miss an animal and then left the north side of the roadway.
