POLICE: Weekly Police Blotter

MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT:
New Castle Police were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on January 8th on West Lawrence Avenue in Wayne Township. A 2019 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling too fast downhill and swerved to miss an animal and then left the north side of the roadway. After leaving the roadway, the vehicle struck the left front end of a parked and unoccupied 2004 Ford F250. The Chevrolet came to a final rest on the north berm of West Lawrence Avenue.

DUI:
On Decmeber 1st, Jori Wilson, 39, of Ellwood City, was charged with Driving Under The Influence. Officers conducted a traffic stop after Wilson had been traveling very slowly through an intersection and noting that the vehicles registration lamps were blue. Wilson was explained why she was being pulled over and it was apparent that her eyes were bloodshot and glassy her speech was slurred. Wilson admitted she did have one drink at the Sons Of Italy Club. At first, Wilson refused to take the sobriety tests, but then agreed to take them after being told she could take it inside where it was warm. Wilson did not pass the tests and was taken into custody for Driving Under The Influence.

THEFT BY DECEPTION:
On December 10th 2021, charges were filed against Kasey Greco, 46, of Ellwood City for Theft By Deception. Greco was hired by homeowners on Constitution Blvd. as their contractor and has stolen money from them and has not finished the jobs he was hired to do. Greco was hired to do work on the victims rental property, the victims stated that Greco arrived and has completed some work but has not returned since that day and will not answer their phone calls or get back to them in any way. The victims stated that they sent Greco a letter on October 19th but still have not heard from him. In August, Greco was paid $5,550.00 and did complete some work but not what agreed upon with that dollar amount. In September, the victims paid Greco $3,000.00 to complete future work as he stated he needed money for the job. Greco has never returned to the property to finish any work, the victims cannot get ahold of him and he has their money. The victims showed officers a hardcopy of a contract signed between them and Greco from November agreeing to complete a list of things at the rental property. The victims stated they would like charges filed on their behalf of Greco if he will not pay them their money back he owes them for not completing the work.

DRUG ARREST:
On January 13th after an extended investigation officers from the Beaver Falls Police Department executed a search warrant at 1309 2nd Ave. with the assistance of the Beaver County ESU Team as well as the Attorney General’s Office BNI Division. During this operation four subjects were taken into custody and a multitude of items were seized. Some of the items seized include a handgun, approximately 2 oz. of heroin, approximately 2 oz. of Fentanyl, approximately 1.5 oz. of crack cocaine, approximately 30 xanax, $520 in US currency, as well as digital scales and packaging material. One male and one female were wanted out of the Beaver County Sheriff’s Office and two males were arrested for the investigation. The other two subjects arrested were Marquise Johnson and Christopher Franklin from Canton, OH. Johnson and Franklin were transported to the Beaver County Jail to answer for multiple felony narcotic charges.
