The Borough of Ellwood City has recently updated its account with OnSolve, providers of the CodeRED high-speed notification solution and the CodeRED Weather Warning service. This no-charge update will allow message recipients to easily identify calls coming through the systems. Message recipient’s Caller ID will read OnSolve or 866-419-5000 for CodeRED calls. And for CodeRED Weather Warning calls, either OnSolve or the number 800-566-9780 will appear on Caller ID displays. Borough Updates: Targeting & Shutoffs

According to information made available by the Borough of Ellwood City, they will be resuming speeding enforcement and electric shutoffs. Ellwood City Mayor Anthony Court advised the borough police will be stepping patrols along Line and Wampum Avenues and Pershing and Beatty Streets where there have been complaints about speeders.  Court said speeding is a major concern now because children are out for the summer. According to a release made available by the borough, Ellwood City will be closing some of its parks and recreational facility effective immediately. According to the statement, the Borough of Ellwood City is closing some of its parks and recreational facilities to try to get in front of any potential community spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus. According to a press release made available by the Borough of Ellwood City, a utility account budget plan has been announced. Ellwood City Borough Council adopted Resolution #2004-4 approving a budget payment plan for utility accounts under the following provisions: Customers may complete the application form provided by the Borough during the annual open enrollment period from the third Monday in March through the third Friday in April. Ellwood City Borough Tax Collector, Sue Gatto, announced her new hours this week. The hours for the month of February will be Wednesdays 10:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. only.
