Brian D. Moyer, 65, of Ellwood City passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 25, 2026 at his residence. Born April 30, 1961 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Walter and Mary Pappas Moyer. Brian worked as a glass window maker at Traco for 20 years and then at Alcoa until his retirement. He enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles and working on cars. An animal lover, he kept a “small zoo” at his house with two fish tanks, snakes, turtles, and his three dogs. Nick was born on March 19th, 1951 in Ellwood City to the late Frank J. and Laura (Lagana) Genova. He was the son of Thomas and the late Sandra (Faull) Swick and was born August 17, 1976, in New Castle. Mr. Fred Silvestri, 94, of Ellwood City, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 21st, 2026 at his residence. Mr. Silvestri was born on March 10th, 1932 in Ellwood City to the later Oddone and Gulia (Mariotti) Silvestri. He had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1950 and is a member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church. Fred enlisted with the United States Air Force on May 1st, 1951 and served until his honorable discharge on April 30th, 1955.
