Kathy M. Hahn, 66, of Mulberry, Fla. (formerly of Ellwood City) passed away Monday, Dec. 28, 2015 at the Lakeland Regional Hospital in Florida. Born May 19, 1949 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Frederick G. and Zelma Marie Derrow Hahn. Kathy graduated from Laurel High School. She continued her studies at Roberts Wesleyan College in North Chili, N.Y. earning her bachelors degree. She also received her Master’s Degree from Western Maryland University. Margaret Scala, 84, died on Jan. 1, 2016 at home in the care of her loving daughter Donnalee and her sister Eleanor. Margaret was born on Nov. 11, 1931 in Newark, N.J. to Genevieve and Gennaro Leone. She resided in San Francisco, Calif. and West Orange, N.J. before settling in Beaver Falls. She worked in the law firm of Samuel J. Andrew K. McClintick, 24, of Scottview Dr., Scott Township passed away unexpectedly in his residence on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015. Born in Ellwood City on April 19, 1991 he was the son of Richard and Carrie McClintick Pander of Portersville. Andrew was a 2010 graduate of Laurel High School. Betty J. Street, 85, of Chewton passed away Monday, Dec. 28, 2015 at the Rochester Manor. Born Jan. 30, 1930 in East Palestine, Oh., she was the daughter of the late Lyman and Mary Jane VanKirk Schultz. Betty retired from Conley’s Irish Pub where she was the head cook. John T. “Jack” Frickanish, 86, of Dutch Ridge Road, Ellwood City (Slippery Rock Twp.) passed away Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015 at his residence following an extended illness. Born July 21, 1929 in Chewton, he was the son of the late John and Josephine Zohosky Frickanish. He was married for 65 years to Ruth E. Leonhardt Frickanish who survives.
