TRAFFIC ALERT: Carmen Beatrice Blvd Will Be One-Way On Monday Ahead Of PIAA Playoff Game

On Monday June 1, the Ellwood City Borough, Mayor Tony Court and Ellwood City School District have decided to temporarily turn Carmen Beatrice Blvd into one way traffic.

Traffic will only be able to travel from the tennis courts towards Route 65 starting at 12:00 noon.

Ellwood City hosts Philipsburg-Osceola at 4:00 p.m. at Sanders Field in the opening round of the PIAA Baseball Playoffs.

Parking for the game will start at the fieldhouse and run towards the tennis courts in an attempt to alleviate damages from foul balls. Overflow parking if needed will be sent to the swimming pool parking lot.

Spectators will not be permitted to park along the fence or stand outside the fence to watch the game.

Tickets will be available at the main gate cost of tickets will be $10.00 cash only at the gate. Tickets are also available at HOMETOWN Ticketing on line.

Philipsburg-Osceola (14-8 Overall) enters the game as the District 6 Class 3A runner-up after suffering a 6-1 defeat at the hands of Tyrone in the District 6 championship game Thursday.

Across town, Riverside will begin defense of their state title on Monday when they travel to Erie to face District 10 Champion Fairview (16-1 Overall) at 1:30 p.m. at Mercyhurst University Baseball Field. With victories by both Ellwood City and Riverside, the teams would face each other in the PIAA quarterfinals.
