Mr. John E. Schilling, 100, of Harmony passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 12th, 2025 at his residence. Mr. Schilling was the son of the late James and Margaret (Bach) Schilling, Sr. born on August 22nd, 1924 in Pittsburgh. At the age of 15 John took a train to the state of Washington to join the CCC (civilian conservation corps). After 2 years he returned to Pittsburgh and went to work for the Penn Central Railroad first as a laborer and later as a foreman. He retired from the rail yard in Conway in 1984. He is a member of…

Clara Caravella, 96, of West Pittsburg passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Haven Nursing Home following a lengthy illness. Born July 31, 1928, in Ellwood City, but grew up in Chewton, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Ruth Wiles Fosnaught. She married Joseph J. Caravella Sr. on February 14, 1947. They shared 68 years of marriage until his passing on November 19, 2015. Clara graduated from Lincoln High School in 1946.
