Jane M. Makepeace D’Amico, 81, of Ellwood City (Wiley Hill, North Sewickley Twp.), passed away peacefully on Saturday,   September 29  2018 at her home. Jane was born in  Ellwood City  (Wiley Hill) on September 10 1937 to the late Fred Makepeace and the late Nettie Price Makepeace. She was a 1955 graduate of Lincoln High School in Ellwood City, and worked for Gen Sales and Sumner and Lero  Ford in Ellwood City.    She  enjoyed  crocheting, mainly beautiful afghans and baby blankets. Michael N. Nuzzo, 92

Michael N. Nuzzo, 92 of Chewton passed away at his residence on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 12:10 am. Born in Sunnyside (Allegheny Co.) on August 7, 1926 Michael was the son of the late Antonio (Tony) and Catherine Quinden Nuzzo.  He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Concetta (Connie) DeRosa on May 9, 2011.  They were married on October 31, 1948.  Michael worked as a fitter at Matthews Conveyor in Ellwood until they closed.  He was a member of the First Christian Church in Ellwood City and the Ellwood-Wampum Rod and Gun Club.  Michael was a veteran of the US Army…

Norman C. “Randy” Johnston III, 61, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at the Brighton Rehab & Wellness Center following a lengthy illness. He was born July 22, 1957 to the late Norman C. Johnston Jr. and Margaret E. Baker Johnston. Norman was a 1976 graduate of Lawrence County Vo-Tech and a 1981 graduate of the New Castle School of Trades. Mrs. Anna J. Butchelli,95, of Ellwood City passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at The Grove in Harmony. Mrs. Butchelli was born on April 13, 1923 in Ellwood City to the late Gesualdo and Josephine (Buona) Pirrera.  Anna is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1941. She had worked at the U.S. Steel Tube Mill in Ellwood City during World War II. After the war, Anna worked at Loccisano’s as a sales clerk. Jean D. Hay, 75 of Schill Manor passed away at Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 6:15 am. Born in Conneaut Lake, PA on April 19, 1943, Jean was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Mospan Shelby.  Jean had worked at Ames Department Store in Franklin Township as a cashier and had been the former director of the Ellwood Area Summer Playground Program.  She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sharon M. Badger Pistorius, 66, of Ellwood City, passed away peacefully on  Thursday  morning, September 20,  2018 at Allegheny General  Hospital in Pittsburgh.
