Helen June Bailey, 84, of Ellwood City passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver following a lengthy illness. Born June 7, 1937 in New Brighton, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Alice Barnes Wolfe. She was married to Donald E. Bailey Sr. when he passed on March 10, 2008. Helen was first employed by the Providence Hospital and then by the Beaver Valley Medical Center where she ended her 24 years of service as a nurses aide. Daniel J. “Shorty” Senchak, 74, of Wampum passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at his residence. Born December 19, 1947 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Andrew and Carmella Arket Senchak. Shorty was formerly employed at the B&W where he worked as a bricklayer. He was a current member of the Croatian Club in West Pittsburg and the Polish White Eagles Club in Chewton. An outdoorsman, Shorty was an avid hunter and fisherman. Joseph Domenic DeLisio passed away on January 4, 2022, after a lengthy illness. He was born September 18, 1949, and was 72 years old, at his passing. Joe was married to Dana (Beatrice) DeLisio for 40 years, she survives him. Also surviving is one daughter; Lyndi Jo DeLisio Young and her husband Ryan, one granddaughter; Sayla Capri, stepson; Ryan (Shannon) Wallace, grandchildren;  Greyson, Madison, and Rowen. Ernest F. Borroni, 84, of New Castle passed away Monday, January 3, 2022 at Quality Life Services in Grove City. Born June 9, 1937 in New Galilee, he was the son of the late Angelo and Margaret Colaizzi Borroni. Ernest was a retired steel worker who worked in the piercing mill. After his retirement, he was the beloved custodian at the Lawrence County Vo-Tech. He was a member of the LMBA of New Galilee. Shirley Ann Baird, 72, of North Sewickley Township passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at her residence. Born July 4, 1949 in Beaver Falls, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Mary Jane Reynolds Bush. She was married to Charlie Baird until his passing on November 28, 2015. Shirley first worked at her mothers restaurant “Janie’s Cafe”, then at the Ellwood City Knitting Mill for many years until they closed. She also cleaned many houses and offices. David Richard Sokoloski, 86, of Beaver Falls went to see the Lord on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Brighton Rehab & Wellness Center following an illness. Born May 31, 1935 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Albert “Red” and Mary Zak Sokoloski. David was a graduate of Lincoln High School. He served in the Army and was stationed in Panama.
