James A. Tritt, 71, of Ellwood City, passed away due to COVID on Monday, September 7, 2020 at Providence Care Center in Beaver Falls. Born in Ellwood City on March 31, 1949, James was the son of the late Raymond F. and Mary B. Koach Tritt.  A 1967 graduate of Riverside High School, Jim attended Youngstown State University on a track scholarship.  He retired in 2015 as a project coordinator from Littell Steel Company in Fallston.  James was an avid golfer and he also enjoyed bowling and playing softball. Dorothy “Dotty” Wallace, 79

Mrs. Dorothy “Dotty” Wallace, 79, of Perry Township. passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at the Providence Care Center in Beaver Falls. Mrs. Wallace was born on July 26, 1941 in Jackson Center to the late Nelson L. and Laura Emily (Faulconbridge) McAnallen. Dotty is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1959. Following high school she worked at Lava Crucible in Zelienople as a secretary until her sons where born. Once her family was grown she worked at Evans Industrial Supply. Michael S. Young, 61, of North Sewickley Twp, PA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 5, 2020. He was the son of the late William D. and Blanche M. (O’Brien) Young. He was born on January 15, 1959. He is survived by the love of his life, Valerie Young, his beloved daughter; Amanda Young and numerous cousins. Charles C. Hedlund, 64 of Taylor Township passed away at his residence on Wednesday, September 2, 2020. Born in Taylor Township on October 19, 1955, Charles was the son of the late Charles V. and Charlotte Clark Hedlund.  He is survived by his wife, the former Lila Shutack, whom he married on July 10, 1978. Mrs. Dorothy C. Powell, 91, of Ellwood City passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver. Mrs. Powell was born on December 2, 1928 in Ellwood City to the late Antoni and Bernice (Lawrence) Mikosz. She was a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1946, and the Holy Redeemer Parish. Russell E. Barge, 66

Russell E. Barge, 66, of New Castle, formerly of Ellwood City, passed away at Jameson Hospice at Jameson Hospital following a 3-month battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Howard L. and Rose Mary (Frisk) Barge of Ellwood City. Russell was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and his domestic partner of over 30 years Joyce Rigotti. Ruth E. Kuntz, 98, of Ellwood City passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at her residence. Born October 7, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Martha (Barkley) McClymonds . She was married to the late George Kuntz. They were married in November of 1950 in the middle of the snow of 1950 by a snow plow driver at the Dixie Inn in Portersville. Ruth graduated in 1939 from Portersville High School. She was the last surviving graduate from her class. Bessie Elizabeth “Betty” Rafacz, 89, of Wampum passed away peacefully Monday, August 31, 2020 at UPMC – Jameson Hospital in New Castle following an extended illness. Born April 1, 1931 in Coalport, PA, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Vanda (Gmerek) Stiles Sr. She was married to Henry J. Rafacz for 66 years, he survives. Edward Raymond Gasper, 75, of West Pittsburg PA, passed away August 11, 2020 at Cadia Healthcare in Hagerstown, MD following a lengthy illness.
