Annual Historical Society Picnic

Everett Bleakney, President of the Ellwood City Historical Society, wants to invite everyone to the Annual Historical Society Picnic. “An old fashion picnic is a great way to celebrate with friends and neighbors about our town – Ellwood City,” Bleakney said. Sell Your Items at the Community Rummage Sale

The Ellwood City Women of the Moose Chapter 442 invite the community to their rummage sale event this Saturday to sell their items at a cost of $10.00 per table space. Spaces will be available on a first come-first serve basis. For those purchasing tables, doors will open at 7:00 a.m. Weather permitting any overflow will be able to set up outside. Veterans Stand Down in Lawrence County

The 7th annual Veterans Stand Down in Lawrence County will be Friday, August 11, from 1pm – 3pm and will provide FREE Medical screenings, hygiene products, haircuts, a light meal, and multiple organizations with resource information and referrals will be available. Serving homeless Veterans, service members, their families, community members, and families in need. Hard to Recycle Event

The Lawrence County Hard to Recycle event will be on Saturday, Sept. 30 from 10a.m.-1p.m. Things that can be recycled are appliances, batteries, electronics, fluorescent lights, household hazardous wastes, and tires. Below is a list of items and the cost to recycle them.


Anthony Tollari III’s Benefit

Anthony Tollari III’s Benefit will be September 23rd at the SOI Club, Ellwood City, PA. A Wing Fest it will be from 7:00 – 11:00 pm. Wrap-up for the Four Day Bazaar

During the 51st Holy Redeemer four day annual Bazaar, monetary awards totaling $46,000 were awarded to ten lucky winners. The Bazaar concluded on a high note with the Summer-Cash Give-away marque award of $25,000. The awards are based on the PA Lottery evening first pick three- digit number drawn. The Lottery’s policy states that winners, if they allow their names to be publicized, will need to sign a lottery privacy clause release document. BC3 Cultural Center: Free Concert, Free Ice Cream and Cool Art

(Butler, PA) The Cultural Center at Butler County Community College will provide Graeter’s Ice Cream free to those attending the Pittsburgh Philharmonic’s free performance Aug. 13, an overture that will give guests a taste of Succop Theater’s fall 2017 Performing Artists series. Visitors can also view 35 oil paintings in the Mary Hulton Phillips Art Gallery during the opening of an exhibit by Doreen Currie, a Latrobe resident who studied under BC3 instructor David Ludwick in 2005 and 2006.
