Eastbound US 422 Bridge Inspection Next Week in Lawrence County

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing work to inspect the bridge that carries eastbound US 422 over the Shenango River in the City of New Castle and Taylor Township, Lawrence County, will begin Monday, June 6 weather permitting. Single-lane restrictions will occur on eastbound US 422 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, June 6-10 as crews conduct bridge inspection activities. ECIAHF Monthly Meeting Recap

The Ellwood City Italian American Heritage Foundation (ECIAHF) met at Ellwood City Area Historical Society on Friday May 27, 2022 for the monthly meeting. President Barbara Mastropietro welcomed the group giving special recognition to our Founder Mr. Gene Morabito. A Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance were offered. Phyllis Fusco taught some brief expressions in Italian. Each member was asked to take two business cards to distribute to friends, relatives, and someone you just met. Farmers’ Market to Begin Saturday

Ellwood City Farmers’ Market is set to hold its first event of the year Saturday June 4 from 8 a.m. to Noon. The event will continue each Saturday after through October 8 at the Beaver Ave Municipal Parking Lot, 500 Block of Beaver Ave. The Ellwood City Farmers’ Market features a variety of locally grown and produced products and is part of the Ellwood City Revitalization (ECR) project. Lincoln High School Top Nine And Graduating Class of 2022

The Lincoln High School graduating Class of 2022 will receive their diplomas Thursday June 2nd, during a ceremony scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Sgt. Leslie H. Sabo Jr. Memorial Auditorium. Riverside Defeats Burgettstown In WPIAL Consolation Game, Looks Forward To PIAA Playoffs

The Riverside Panthers rallied back from a 4-0 deficit Tuesday and collected a 6-4 victory over Burgettstown in the WPIAL Class-3A consolation game at the Ross Memorial Field at the W&J Sports Complex in Washington. Riverside (16-6 overall) will next move onto the PIAA 2A Playoffs to face District 6 champion Mount Union on Monday.
