2022 Riverside Homecoming Court Announced

Congratulations to the 2022 Riverside Homecoming Court! The court was announced at the end of last week and the queen will be crowned Friday night at halftime of the Riverside football game. The Homecoming game will be played against Western Beaver at home, with the game starting at 7:00 p.m. The Panthers will look to rebound from their 44-14 loss last week at Beaver Falls that snapped Riverside’s 3-game winning streak.  The team carries a 3-2 season record into the contest. Dancing In The Rain: 2022 Ellwood City Oktoberfest Held Amid Rain Skies

Rain and torrential downpours on Saturday afternoon did not damper the mood in Ewing Park as nearly 700 people braved the elements to enjoy the Ellwood City Oktoberfest. The 12th annual event squeaked out a few reasonably accommodating hours between the waves of rain that entered the Saturday afternoon forecast. Bradys Run Park Holding Hazardous Waste Collection Event In October

Safely dispose of common household chemicals and take advantage of the Beaver County Hazardous Waste Collection event that is scheduled for Saturday, October 8, 2022. Reece Pilarski Qualifies For WPIAL Golf Individual Championships

Riverside golfer Reece Pilarski has qualified for the WPIAL 2A Boys’ Individual Golf Championship after firing a round of 86 on Monday to advance. The Panther senior finished with a a round of (44-42. +16) on Monday at the Par-70 Hannastown Golf Club in Greensburg, PA. Pilarski collected four pars on the afternoon. Ellwood City Fire Department To Host Town Hall Meeting On Monday

The Ellwood City Fire Department will host a town hall meeting on Monday. The meeting is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. and in regards to a tax referendum question borough residents will answer on the November 8 election.  The question is: Would you accept a new one mill tax in order to pay for advanced life support services? POLICE: Weekly Police Blotter

ENDANGERING WELFARE OF CHILD: On August 2nd at approximately 5:29 p.m., Ellwood City Police were dispatched to an area of Haig Street and Madison Avenue for a caller reporting a 4-year-old girl by herself sitting in the middle of the road. The caller advised no parents around and when police responded to the scene and spoke with the caller they were advised this is an ongoing issue with the child.
