The Riverside Boys Tennis team collected a 4-1 victory in tennis action Monday afternoon at Riverside High School.
Ethan Hughes (6-3, 6-0) collected straight set victory in singles while Payne Hoover & Kaysen Conver (6-2, 6-3) and Avery Wolf & Liam Gallagher (6-3, 6-4) collected straight set victories to pace Riverside.
Hunter Famsworth (6-3, 3-6, 6-2) also earned a singles victory for the host Panthers.
Max Kuffer (6-3, 6-2) collected a straight set victory for the Wolverines lone point on the afternoon.
This was the first match of the season for Ellwood City who has four returning players from last season. Riverside has no returning players from last season but has converted three JV baseball players to the tennis team.
Ellwood City next hosts Neshannock on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
