2021 Hard To Recycle Event Will be Held In Ellwood City

Ellwood City Public Works Garage will hold a “hard to recycle” collection day on July 13th.

The collection events have been created by the Lawrence-Mercer Recycling/Solid Waste Department to help people in the community recycle the things that normally are harder to recycle.

The Lawrence-Mercer Recycling/Solid Waste Department offers this program on the second Tuesdays of each month from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The collection are held in locations in both Lawrence and Mercer counties so that more people have access to the program.

Residents only for this event, no commercial or institutional materials will be accepted. This program is free as well. There is a limit of three boxes or bags per vehicle of electronic media. Materials collected will be subject to change depending on the costs and markets. Under no circumstances will any other materials such as electronic devices or hazardous household wastes be accepted.

Holiday lights, Thermostats, Fluorescent Tubes (four feet or less), Compact Fl. Lights, Shoes, Cell Phones, and Electronic Media that includes, VHS Tapes, CD’s, DVD’s, Floppy disks, 8-Tracks, Cassettes,  Video Games, Zip Drives, Film (black and white only), and Blue Ray Disks will be accepted for collection.
