Riverside Lions Thanks Community For Hygiene Helpers Project Success

It’s the last haul until the fall.

The Riverside Lions would like to thank the Franklin Township Giant Eagle and Dollar General stores for helping supply hygiene products for those in need.

Chip Campbell, Lions Clubs International District Governor of the Riverside Lions, is expressing his gratitude for the help the community has put into the project.

“We would also like to thank the customers who donated to this project and hope you’ll remember us in the fall” said Campbell

A third collection made from the stores this spring and items were distributed to Riverside High School and Holy Redeemer Social Services.

Previous collections have been successful as well with help pouring in from the community.

In 2019, Campbell and the Lions Club introduced a similar hygiene box at the local Giant Eagle aimed at helping children in need.

According to TheHygieneBank.com, hygiene poverty is shaming, humiliating and excluding and can result in social isolation. It leads to a crippling lack of confidence and negatively affects good health and mental well-being which can impact early childhood development, learning, employ-ability and social interaction.
