It’s the last haul until the fall. The Riverside Lions would like to thank the Franklin Township Giant Eagle and Dollar General stores for helping supply hygiene products for those in need. The Riverside Lions Club recently collected hygiene products at two area locations as part of its ‘Hygiene Helpers’ project. A new container introduced at Ellwood City Giant Eagle is aimed to help provide hygiene products for kids in need. Gina Morini Felouzis, of Mario’s Giant Eagle, in Ellwood City, and Riverside Lions club president, Chip Campbell, introduced the new contained stationed within Giant Eagle to collect donated hygiene products. The donated items will be distributed among area students in need. Campbell hopes people will treat the container like ‘Toys for Tots,’ only for hygiene products that, although not recognized, have a great bearing on student’s performance in the classroom.
