Riverside Lions Club Continues Their Community Outreach With A Variety of Programs

The Riverside Lions Club is continuing their community outreach through a variety of programs. Once again, the club had the opportunity of being able to distribute thousands of school supplies to six different schools in the area. Bench Donated By Lions Clubs to Honor Well Respected Township Employee

Riverside and Rochester/Beaver Lions Club recently donated a bench to honor Randy Syphrit, a very well-respected employee in North Sewickley Township. Pictured below is Jamie Wolf, a North Sewickley Township employee, seated on the bench that was donated in Randy Syphrit’s memory by the Riverside and Rochester/Beaver Lions clubs. “Syphrit was a well-respected, liked and long time employee in North Sewickley Township, he was also a member of the NSVFD for over 30 years.” said Chip Campbell, of Riverside Lions Club. Syphrit passed away in August of 2019 at the age of 52.  


Riverside Lions Thanks Community For Hygiene Helpers Project Success

It’s the last haul until the fall. The Riverside Lions would like to thank the Franklin Township Giant Eagle and Dollar General stores for helping supply hygiene products for those in need. The Riverside Lions Club recently collected hygiene products at two area locations as part of its ‘Hygiene Helpers’ project. A local Lions Club has joined forces with a local Dollar General store to offer an initiative aimed to help provide hygiene products for those in need. Angel Zilka, a Riverside senior, is the Ellwood City Lions Club Student of the Month for February 2020. Hygiene Helper Container Introduce At Giant Eagle

A new container introduced at Ellwood City Giant Eagle is aimed to help provide hygiene products for kids in need. Gina Morini Felouzis, of Mario’s Giant Eagle, in Ellwood City, and Riverside Lions club president, Chip Campbell, introduced the new contained stationed within Giant Eagle to collect donated hygiene products. The donated items will be distributed among area students in need. Campbell hopes people will treat the container like ‘Toys for Tots,’ only for hygiene products that, although not recognized, have a great bearing on student’s performance in the classroom. Ellwood City, PA. A check presentation dinner meeting was hosted by the Wolves Club on October 23 at Carusone’s Catering Hall in Ellwood City. 10th Annual 2019 Ellwood City Oktoberfest Recap

The 10th Annual 2019 Ellwood City Oktoberfest was held in beautiful Ewing Park on Saturday, October 5th. The event is a group effort of several organizations in Ellwood City to benefit the community and its members. At the event were over 100 craft beers and over a dozen homebrewers to sample, great food, live music by Wine and Spirits, a huge silent auction, games, prizes and a bake sale benefiting the Ellwood City Library. Ellwood City Lions Club Announces Completion Of Two Community Service Projects

The Ellwood City Lions Club proudly announces the community service project of the Lion Drinking Fountain installation at Sheeler Park and the purchase of the ADA accessible swing set for Rogers Park in Ellport. The Lion Drinking Fountain community service project was in progress for a few years.  The Lion drinking fountain that was located in front of the Ellwood City Municipal Building on Lawrence Avenue for decades, was refurbished and reused in Ellport.  In 2014, due to its age and deterioration, the Lion fountain was removed and placed in storage.  New “baby” Lion drinking fountain was purchased and installed…
