Ominous skies surrounding Sanders Field Tuesday afternoon when the Ellwood City Wolverines were set to host Mohawk for the second game of their home-and-home series with the Warriors. The afternoon started with senior recognition for the five Wolverines seniors prior to first pitch, but the game was not able to be completed. Panthers starter Ronnie Harper pitched a gem Thursday, twirling five shutout innings as Riverside easily blanked the visiting Wolverines 10-0. Harper allowed just three hits. He struck out six batters and did not issue a walk. The Panthers, now 7-1 overall, secured the victory thanks to seven runs in the second inning. Hunter Garvin, Drake Fox, Madden Boehm, and Bo Fornataro, who all drove in runs in the second frame. Boehm slugged a second inning homerun en route to his four-RBI performance.
