Divine Grace Parish Food Bank Receives Proclamation

Mayor Anthony J. Court proudly presented a proclamation to Divine Grace Ministerium Social Services and Food Bank on Wednesday, June 14th. Divine Grace is a ministry to feed and give aid to less fortunate. “They have provided outstanding service and dedication to our community for over 30 years,” said Mayor Court in an emailed statement. Gerald “Jerry” Kroll Presented With Proclamation

Dr. F. Gerald “Jerry” Kroll was presented with a proclamation by George Celli, President of Ellwood City Borough Council last week. Dr. Kroll was presented the proclamation for all the service he had given to Ellwood City and around the world. His passion for evangelism and discipleship has led him to Asia, Southeast Asia, Europe, Africa, Australia, North America, Latin America along with other parts of the world. 1st Beautification Award Winner of 2023 Announced

Mayor Anthony J. Court announced the 1st Beautification Award winner for 2023 season – congratulations to Larry and Karen Krummert! It did not go unnoticed the hard work they put into their beautiful yard according to Mayor Court. Larry and Karen were presented with a gift certificate to a local restaurant and a yard sign to display. The mayor’s office has five more winners to announce and nominations are still being accepted by Mayor Court. MAYOR: Speeding Enforcement In Borough

Mayor Anthony J. Court and the Ellwood City Police Department wants to announce that next week throughout the Borough of Ellwood City, Officers of the Ellwood City Police Department will again be conducting speeding enforcement. The department will be using their certified Enrad Laser speed timing device. Citations WILL BE issued for non-compliance. Mayor Court says his message is quite clear – PLEASE SLOW DOWN or face the consequences!  


REMINDER: Mayor Court Beautification Award Nominations Underway

Mayor Anthony J. Court will once again be doing beautification awards for Ellwood City. Nominations are now being accepted by dropping the request off at the Mayor’s office in the Municipal Building on Lawrence Avenue or by calling Mayor Court at 724-824-7629. Nominations will be accepted beginning May 10, 2023 and program will end on the 1st of August. Louise Carroll Receives Proclamation From Mayor Court

Mayor Anthony J. Court proclaimed Saturday, April 29, 2023 as Louise Carroll day in Ellwood City. The mayor, along with Council President George Celli, presented a proclamation in her honor celebrating her 90th Birthday. Louise is a prominent writer for the Ellwood City Ledger that highlights different citizens of our community. A commendation was presented to Roberta Page by Mayor Anthony J. Court and Council President George J. Celli at a recent council meeting. Roberta has been picking up debris and trash along Wampum Avenue and Veterans Bridge for a few months. “It’s these kind of acts that make our community special. Mayor: “Saturation” Program to Target Unruly Motorists

Mayor Anthony Court announced during Monday’s Borough Council meeting that a “Saturation” program for motor vehicles will be launching in the borough. Not only will the Ellwood City Police Department be ticketing motorists for speeding, but there will also be stops and possible consequences for other violations including such actions as not using turn signals, driving with expired inspections, reckless and erratic driving and other violations of the Pennsylvania motor vehicle codes. Ellwood City Decorated with Signs & Teal Ribbons For SAAM Day of Action

Mayor Anthony J. Court, Ellwood City Council and the Ellwood City Police Department joined forces with ARISE, formerly the Crisis Shelter of Lawrence County, on Tuesday, April 4th to recognize SAAM Day of Action. The first Tuesday of every April is the Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) Day of Action. The Day of Action is an opportunity to start off the month with highly visible and coordinated actions.
