PHOTOS: Panther Night 2026

The annual Panther Night was held Thursday evening at Riverside Memorial Stadium. Panther Night is a community event celebrating back to school and Fall sports teams and featured the Riverside Marching Band performing and the introduction of the student athletes. The event features food booths run buy many of the district booster organizations along with two food trucks and an array of apparel offerings available to help support student athletes as well. The Riverside Panthers Varsity Football team hosts cross town rival Ellwood City next Friday, August 28th at 7:00 p.m. to kick off its regular season.

Riverside School District To Host Series of Back-To-School Events

With back to school in focus this month, Riverside Beaver County School District is hosting a handful of events to help get students acquainted with their upcoming classes. Riverside High School will hold the annual Open House and 9th Grade Orientation on Tuesday, August 25th in the High School Auditorium. At the conclusion of the 9 a.m. Mass, on Sunday, August 25, Father James Wehner recognized and blessed all attending students, from pre-k thru college, returning to school this year. That blessing is a true prayer that asks God to care, protect, help and provide guidance, for those students starting their school year. Pie Festival, Panther Night On Thursday!

Both Ellwood City and Riverside school districts will kick off their respective back to school seasons with community events on Thursday, August 22nd. Ellwood City will host its annual Lincoln High School Marching Blue Band Pie Festival at Helling Stadium in Ewing Park. Tickets are $5.00 to redeem for an Amish hand pie and bottle of water. Gates open at 6:00. Show starts at 7:00. Blue Band Boosters will serve pie 6:00-7:00 and will resume serving after the show so everyone can celebrate the athletes and enjoy the show. Riverside School District Kindergarten Orientation and ‘Meet The Teacher’ Planned For August 26th and 27th

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! On August 16th, Riverside parents will receive an automated call and email with kindergarten teacher assignment. Teacher announcements will also go live on Skyward on August 16th for Riverside Elementary 1st and 2nd Grades. Kindergarten Orientation will take place Monday, August, 26th. Ellwood City Area School District Launches New Website Ahead of 2023-24 School Year

The Ellwood City Area School District has launched a new, redesigned website ahead of the 2023-24 school year. Lincoln High School Pie Festival, Riverside Panther Night This Week!

Both Ellwood City and Riverside school districts will kick off their respective back to school seasons with community events on Thursday, August 25th. Ellwood City will host its annual Lincoln High School Marching Blue Band Pie Festival at the high school gymnasium. Doors for the Pie Festival open at 6:00 p.m., and the show starts at 7:00 p.m.. The band will perform selections from their 2022 pre-game and halftime shows, all fall sports teams will be introduced, and you can eat pie. ECASD To Host A Free ‘Back To School’ Event For Parents & Community

The Ellwood City Area School District will be hosting a ‘Back To School’ event featuring a free pasta dinner and speech by world renowned speaker, Josh Shipp. The FREE event will be held on Monday, August 22nd at the Lincoln High School Cafeteria. Riverside Beaver Co. SD Masking Order Update

The Riverside Beaver County School District has posted a masking order update from its administration on the district website this week. In the statement the district advises it will follow the Pennsylvania Department of Health’s order that all staff, students, and visitors wear a mask while indoors in any school building starting on Tuesday, September 7th. Riverside Beaver County SD Set To Begin School August 31

The Riverside Beaver County School District is set to return to school on Tuesday, August 31st. The RBCSD District Board of Directors approved a Health and Safety plan to open school full-time for the upcoming school year. Below are excerpts from the Health and Safety Plan from the district website: Unnecessary classroom furniture and items were removed to allow for extra spacing.
