Rotary Clubs and Honduras Hope Mission to Host “Walk 4 Water” this April

MARS — Rich-Mar Rotary, Keystone Rotary and the Honduras Hope Mission, a local 501(c)(3) organization, are hosting the Second Annual “Walk 4 Water” event. “Walk 4 Water” is a fundraising program that spreads awareness of the walks women in developing countries must endure to provide their families with water. “Walk 4 Water” will take place at Adams Township Park on Saturday, April 30, 2022. The event is scheduled to start at 10:00 AM and finish up around 11:00 AM. Ellwood City Borough Council Awards Commendations, Hires Police Officers

The Ellwood City Borough Council awarded two commendations during its regular meeting Monday night. The first commendation was given by Ellwood City Mayor Anthony Court and Ellwood City Police Sgt. Michael McBride to Darrell Hunt, a street department employee, who was integral in helping the police department solve a recent criminal case. He witnessed the criminal activity and reported it to police. Court said Hunt’s swift actions led to an arrest of the suspects involved. A reminder to Lincoln High School and Riverside High School seniors: The annual Ellwood City Area Historical Society Scholarship submission is quickly approaching. The deadline is Thursday April 7, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. The Ellwood City Area Historical Society will award two $1500.00 scholarships to two (2) graduating seniors. Mr. William H. “Silver Fox” Clemmer Sr., 91 formerly of Wampum, passed away on March 13th, 1922 at the Heritage Valley Medical Center. Mr. Clemmer was born in Enon Valley, PA on June 12th, 1930 to the late Walter and Pearl Elizabeth (Kline) Clemmer. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps..
