Sharen Weyman, 76

Sharen Weyman, 76, of Ellwood City passed away peacefully on March 4, 2022, at her home after a 7-year battle with Cancer. She is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Dorothy (Harper) Tritt and was born March 6, 1945, in Ellwood City.

She is survived by her husband of 54 ½ years, Lester (Lynn) Weyman, who she married on August 19th, 1967. Her sisters, Pam (David) Hallberg, Ellwood City, Kim (Mike) Kennedy, Ellwood City, and Tammy (Brian) Upton, Enon Valley. Her Brother-in-Law, Dean (Judy Taylor) Weyman, Vermont, and her sister-in-law LuRay Weyman (Chris) Bauereis, Kentucky. Nine nieces, Emily Hallberg Flatt (Nathanael), Laurie Hallberg, Erin Kennedy Frankel (Daniel), Jessica Kennedy Bergfelt (Matthew), Allison Upton, Deanna Weyman Mayer (Jim), Maggie Bauereis, Noel Bauereis Wood (David), Brooklyn Bauereis Hess. Four nephews, Jeff Weyman (Heather), Christopher Weyman (Kate), Nicholas Upton, and Zachary Kennedy. Fifteen great nieces and nephews, Chloe Bergfelt, Kenzie Bergfelt, Eliyanah Flatt, Joannah Flatt, Lorelai Hess,Hawthorne Wood, Alyson Mayer, Lucy Weyman, Cora Weyman, Eloise Weyman, Isaiah Flatt, Judah Flatt, Trevor Weyman, Bannon Wood, and Levi Hess along with numerous cousins and friends.

Sharen was a graduate of Lincoln High School, class of 1963. Through the years, she was active in her church teaching Sunday school, youth group, and Bible school as well as playing the piano and organ. She taught Good News Clubs in her home and was known by everyone that knew her as a pray warrior. She loved music and singing and sang with the Gospel Joy Belles for a number of years. She wrote several songs and made a CD of her music. She worked as a Medical Secretary at North Hills Passavant Hospital in the late 60’s and volunteered as a Committee Lady for the Republican campaign for many years. She enjoyed scrapbooking, making cards, sewing, camping, reading, and spending time with her family.

2 Timothy 4:6-8 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

She was preceded in death by her mother in law and father in law, Lester and Margaret (Gordon) Weyman.
Through the years, she was active in her church teaching Sunday school, youth group, and Bible school as well as playing the piano and organ.

Friends may call on the family from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm on Friday, March 11, 2022, at Turner Funeral Home located at 500 6th Street in Ellwood City. There will also be a time of visitation on March 12, 2022, from 10:00am-11:00am at Park Gate Baptist Church located at 2840 River Road in Ellwood City. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am, following the visitation, with Reverend Mike Charles, Reverend Chris Roberts and Reverend John Coomber, officiating.

 

Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery.
