Rotary Clubs and Honduras Hope Mission to Host “Walk 4 Water” this April

MARS — Rich-Mar Rotary, Keystone Rotary and the Honduras Hope Mission, a local 501(c)(3) organization, are hosting the Second Annual “Walk 4 Water” event. “Walk 4 Water” is a fundraising program that spreads awareness of the walks women in developing countries must endure to provide their families with water. “Walk 4 Water” will take place at Adams Township Park on Saturday, April 30, 2022. The event is scheduled to start at 10:00 AM and finish up around 11:00 AM.

Reverend Gary Weston, Treasurer of Honduras Hope Mission, hopes that this event will “educate and bring awareness to the lack of clean water available to people, not only in Honduras but around the world.” Event participants will receive a Walk 4 Water tee shirt, and can expect to walk about a mile on a paved trail carrying one gallon jug of water. There will be educational activities along the trail and a pavilion reserved before and after the Walk for fellowship and a brief education presentation.

People of all ages are welcome at “Walk 4 Water.” Tickets are free and open to the public. Registration information can be found at www.walk-4-water.eventbrite.com.
