Donald Eugene Adams was born June 22nd, 1933 in a rural farmhouse in Belmont County Ohio. He was born to Robert and Pearl Adams, and younger brother to Robert Adams. His childhood was spent in Bellaire, Ohio and lived a typical life among family and friends. Eventually, his talents as a musician developed and became apparent to all. In High School, he performed with the Boys Glee Club, Concert Orchestra, Chapel Orchestra – and was a trombonist in the Dance Band, Brass Sextet, Concert Band and Marching Band. Born on January 4, 1931 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Augustine V. and Lena Geramita Fornataro. Gus’ humble intelligence, generosity and kindness were evident to all: at work, in the community, but especially with his family.
