Peter J. “Whitey” Maietta, 70 of Ellwood City passed away at Allegheny General Hospital on Thursday, December 29, 2022. Born in Ellwood City on August 11, 1952, Whitey was the son of the late Peter J. and Lucy M. Born June 24, 1944 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Harry C. and Rosalie C. Boots. Albert was a truck driver all of his life and owned his own trucking business. He was an avid hunter. She was born on May 12th, 1947 in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Jerome and Elnora “Peggy” (Woods) Jinar. Docia was a passionate teacher, graduating from Lincoln High School before earning her degree in special education from Slippery Rock University. She spent many years teaching at New Horizon School, eventually becoming the Supervisor, before retiring in 2010. Born July 30, 1937 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Harry and Evelyn Kobbee Ritter. Chuck graduated from Lincoln High School in 1955 and retired from BNZ Inc. in Zelienople after 35 years. Claudia Jean Wimer, 85, of Wampum passed away Monday, December 26, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Hospital from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on December 7. Born October 26, 1937 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late William and Winona McDonald Bartholomew.
