Vicki L. Taylor, 51 of Paul St., Franklin Twp., passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 7:58 PM at the Good Samaritan Hospice. Born in Beaver Falls on April 29, 1965, Vicki was the daughter of the late Fred Sturm and Maureen McCurdy Beatty.  She is survived by her husband, Jason D. Taylor whom she married on November 15, 1997.  Vicki worked as a nurse’s aide at McGuire Home and Evergreen Nursing Center.  She was a member of the 1st Congregational Church in Beaver Falls.  Vicki enjoyed bowling, horseback riding and scrapbooking but mostly she enjoyed taking care of…

Anna Jean Holsinger, 28, of New Castle (Neshannock Twp.) went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 16, 2017. She was born October 24, 1988 in Ellwood City. Anna worked at various restaurants in the area. She graduated from Slippery Rock High School in 2008 where she played on the volleyball and fast pitch softball teams. She was a member of Word Alive Church. Anna enjoyed playing corn hole and dancing. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially walks at Moraine State Park, mushroom hunting, fishing, and camping. Dr. Allen A. Dunstan, 69, passed into eternal peace on Saturday, January 14th 2017. Allen, a son of the late Kenneth and Thora Mae Dunstan was born December 20th 1947 in Meadville, Pa. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1966. He enlisted in the Army in 1967, where he was awarded a purple heart, a good conduct medal, a Vietnam gallantry cross with palm unit citation badge and a national defense service medal. Norma Jean Nye, 86, of  New Castle, (Shenango Twp.) passed away peacefully on  Monday morning, January 16 2017 at her residence. She was born in Sharpsville, PA (Mercer Co.) on October 26, 1930, to the late Samuel Miller Reed Felton and the late Rachel Julia Shaffer Felton. Norma graduated from Sharpsville High School in 1948  and Westminster College in 1952.  She began her career as a teacher for one  year in Hermitage,  then in the Ellwood City Area School District where she taught  elementary music education at Hartman, North Side, Perry, Ewing Park and West End Schools for 32 years….

Mr. Andrew Stiles, Jr., 81, of Ellwood City passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017 in the Ellwood City Hospital. Mr. Stiles was born on August 19, 1935 in Coalport, Pa to the late Andrew and Vanda Gmerek Stiles, Jr. Andy had served with the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960, and was reactivated for 4 months during the Berlin Crisis. Mr. Fred M. Smith, 74, of Ellwood City passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017 in his residence. Mr. Smith was born on September 7, 1942 in New Castle to the late Elizabeth Feinstein Slater. He is a member of the Neshannock High School class of 1961. Fred enlisted with the U.S. Navy on March 28, 1962 and served on the USS Page County as a diesel mechanic until his discharge on June 27, 1966. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. Eunice T. Watt Boyles, 88, formerly of Wampum went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 14, 2017. Born March 19, 1928 in Enon Valley, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Shirley Fraser Williams. In 1946 she married Robert Watt of New Castle who preceded her in death in 1980. She subsequently married William Boyles who also preceded her in death. Eunice was a devoted wife and mother, who faithfully served God and her community throughout her life. Donald F. Fazenbaker, 86, of New Beaver Boro passed away Friday, January 13, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver following a short illness.
