Mrs. Janet E. Hufnagel, 71, of Portersville passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017 in the VNA Hospice, Butler, Pa. Mrs. Hufnagel was born on October 21, 1945 in Ellwood City to the late Wilmer R. and Adda E. Twentier Young. She had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1963. For 23 years she worked at Butler Refrigerated Meats as the secretary for the transportation department. She is also a member of the Mountville Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed going to auctions, working puzzles, and most of all quilting and belonged to the Wurtembug Presbyterian Church Quilting Club….

Sheridan “Rod” Rodgers Jr. 63, of North Sewickley Twp went home to be with the Lord on Thursday January 26, 2017.  He is survived by his loving wife Susan Rodgers. Rod was born August 26,1953 in Ellwood City, the son of the late Sheridan and Marilyn Fosnaught Rodgers. Rod graduated from Riverside High School in 1971. Born July 29, 1928 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Anna Mae Hill Park. She was married on January 25, 1952 to Orville Ray Miller who passed away July 4, 1996.   Raymond Lopez, 83, of Portersville PA (Perry Twp., Lawrence County) passed away peacefully on January 25, 2017, at Franciscan Manor, in Beaver Falls, with family at his side. He was born in Callery PA, Butler Co., on April 7, 1933 to the late Louis Lopez, and the late Cornelia Adams Lopez. Victor Lemoyne Brown, 94, of Perry Township, went to be with the Lord, and his beloved wife and childhood sweetheart, Molly, on Friday, January 20, 2017.He died peacefully at his home, “Sleepy Hollow”.  He was born on April 5, 1922 in Gainesville, Florida. Mr. Harold J. Johns, 98, formerly of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 in the Passavant Retirement and Health Center. Mr. Johns was born on September 3, 1918 in New Castle to the late Carl and Mary Friday Johns.
