Rudy Vetica, 90, of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Hospice. Mr. Vetica was born on December 25, 1927 to the late Querino and Pasqualina (Condi) Vetica. Rudy is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1945. After high school he worked for the Ellwood City Post Office for one year. He was drafted then enlisted with the U.S. Army in April of 1946 for 18 months till his discharge in October of 1947. He trained with the tank corp and ran the only Post office in Korea. Anita Gillespie, 86, of Ellwood City passed away Monday, November 19, 2018 at UPMC Passavant Hospital. Born March 23, 1932 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Floyd W. and Anita D. Ewing Frishkorn . She was married to Don Gillespie who passed away in 1997. Anita graduated from Lincoln High School in 1950. She retired from the Ellwood City Hospital after 27 years of service. Mr. Stanley E. Sutkowski, 89, of Ellwood City, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, November 18, surrounded by his family. Stush was born on November 3, 1929 in Ellwood City to the late Stanislaw and Caroline Pogozelec Sutkowski. He was married for 64 years to the love of his life, Mary Ann Varga, with whom he had 5 children. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1948.
