Norman E. McKinney, 85, of Brighton Rd., Ellwood City (North Sewickley Twp.) passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the VNA Hospice in Butler following a brief illness. Born August 16, 1932 in Frisco, he was the son of the late Walter McKinney and the late Thelma Bartle McKinney Smith.  He was married for 63 years to Rosalie Hover McKinney who survives. Norman retired after 37 years from Babcock and Wilcox in Beaver Falls where he worked in the Eastworks Shipping Dept. Robert G. Moskal, 61, of Perry Township passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018 at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Rob was born on March 16, 1956 in Ellwood City to the late George R. and Sue M. Slavik Moskal. He is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1974. He had worked at the Babcock & Wilcox steel mill, Preston Trucking Co. and most recently at Veka. Rob was a member of the Sons of Italy and the Wampum Rod & Gun Club. Sommers, 83, of Sechen Dr., Portersville (Muddy Creek Twp.) peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the VNA Hospice in Butler following an extended illness. Born March 21, 1934 in New Brighton, she was the daughter of the late John E and Ruth Ayers Hawthorne. Janis was married for 63 years to Henry G. Sommers who survives. Robert J. Rossi, 91, of Glen Ave, Ellwood City died Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the John Knox Village in Pompano Beach, Florida. Bob was a man who will always be remembered for all that he created and for all the lives he touched. He was born September 1, 1926, the son of the late Patsy and Perina Martucci Rossi. He grew up in Ellwood City and graduated from Lincoln High School. Bob served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and attained the rank of Machinist Mate 1st Class. Phyllis Jean   Main Gordon, 89, of Ellwood City,  passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, January 31, 2018 at the Avalon Nursing Center in New Castle, after an extended illness. She was born in Ellwood City on May 5 1928 to the late Curtis  and Edith Majors  Main. She was a longtime member of  Park Gate Baptist Church. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her  children and  grandchildren. She was married for over 43 years to her late husband, Donald L. Born June 4, 1942 in Akron, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Lester Heyl and Wilma Herzig Heyl Columbus. She was married for 57 years to Dean Gallaugher who survives. Cheryl was a member of the Wurtemburg Presbyterian Church. She had worked at Ames and then at Dollar General for many years. She enjoyed bowling. Bernard Wise Carbeau, 92, of Ellwood City (Marion Township, Beaver County), passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, January 28, 2018.  He was at his home, surrounded by his loving family.  Ben was born in Ellwood City on April 1, 1925 to the late Charles William Carbeau and the late Florence Wise Carbeau.   He was a 1943 graduate from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City.  He went on to earn  a B.S.  degree in Commerce from Penn State University in 1950.
